Maybe you often feel weight down by feelings of anxiety, depression and inadequacy, just dragging trough life unable to accomplish your goals. Perhaps you find it hard to cope through a difficult or painful life situation. Whatever the reason, you don’t have to stay feeling stuck. Know that there something you can do to move forward and start feeling better.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been helping people struggling with everyday life issues and various mental and emotional problems since 2013. My experience includes mood disorders, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, obsessive-compulsive problems, ADHD, stress management and adjustment though life transitions. I especially enjoy helping people to improve their self-esteem and become more comfortable with boundary setting. I am also a certified substance abuse counselor and have been helping people with co-occurring mental and substance abuse problems learn to cope with emotions in a more productive way.
Besides my professional expertise, I also had some personal experience encountering difficult life situations such as divorce and raising a special needs child, which provided me the ability to be more understanding and compassionate towards others. I believe that by taking time to listen and get to know someone provides the environment to identify the source of underlined problems and promote progress towards mental and emotional health. I focus on individual strengths and adjust my treatment approach to address specific individual needs. I use a collaborative non-judgmental approach and include Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing and other evidence-based therapy methods to promote positive change in one’s life.
So, if you are ready to make some changes in your life and improve your mental and emotional wellness, there is no better time than now to put yourself first and make that positive change. Whether this is your first-time considering therapy or you received mental health services in the past, I would be glad to talk to you and schedule a virtual appointment.
