He has over 20 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, and couples. Rick specializes in working with borderline personality disorder, substance use disorder, and self-harm clients. Rick has experience working with individuals involved in the court system as he has worked as the Hospital/Court Liaison for Community Mental Health. Rick has experience working in psychiatric hospitals with both adults and children. Rick has worked in emergency room settings, providing psychiatric care. Rick has worked for multiple Community Mental Health Service Programs in the state of Michigan and Nevada.
Rick’s years as a college professor has given him a patient and attentive approach to therapy. Rick helps clients overcome challenges with different treatment approaches such as cognitive behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavioral (DBT), person-centered, and trauma-focused therapies among others.
